Our Mission

We support singles who are ready to meet to pursue the Catholic definition of marriage. We believe courtship should be guided by clarity, virtue, and the teachings of the Church – rather than by secular dating, hookup culture, and endless swiping.
Our mission is to create meaningful introductions between Catholics who desire commitment, family life, and holiness.

Why we Started

For most of human history, people lived in small villages and relied on family to introduce them to potential spouses. Today, people struggle with dating apps (prioritising appearance over virtue, and entertainment over commitment) and fear of rejection.
We started Crossed Keys CIC to re-knit the social fabric, providing a service which respects the dignity of each person in alignment with sacramental marriage.

Our Approach

Our matchmaking services combine traditional values with modern convenience, creating a safe space where Catholics can meet others who are serious about building intentional, Christ-centred relationships.

Crossed Keys Matchmaking

  1. You fill in a single-page profile
  2. Married Catholics read your profile and vote on pairs
  3. We send you a restaurant reservation
  4. 50% want to meet again

Any algorithms we use [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] are fully self-hosted (no data is sent to third-parties), and are treated as error-prone suggestions.
All decisions are made by our team of humans, as per antiqua et nova and magnifica humanitas.

  2. You judge a photo and swipe
  3. You judge a short bio
  4. You pay to have a brief text chat
  5. You organise a date
  6. Only 5% want to meet again

Everything reeks of dark patterns, and your data is sold to third-parties after superficial anonymisation [6, 7].

Crossed Keys is a registered CIC based in London, UK.

There are no investors or shareholders, nor affiliation to any particular Catholic order/dioscese/parish.
